You can recognise:
- the river Weser, coming from the south, passing by the old part of town in the center of the picture and then flowing to the northwest
- the Klüt forest in the west of the picture
- the Süntel forest in the northeast of the picture
- lakes in the south of the picture which come into existance due to exploitation of gravel along the river Weser
image comment: Aerial photograph of HamelnOn the aerial photograph you can see Hameln and its suburbs being situated on the left and on the right shore of the river Weser. The Weser occurs in the bottom right corner coming from the south and leaves the photograph in the top left corner flowing northwards. At its light red colouring the old part of town can be recognised - the old part of town is located directly at the Weser central in the town of Hameln.
