The museum gets modernized at the moment. It will re-open in summer 2010.

The museum right in the middle of the historical centre of Hameln is housed in the wooden-framed "Stiftsherrenhaus" and the "Leisthaus" with their Weser-Renaissance style architecture.

Its exhibitions present:

• the legend of the Pied Piper
• the history of Hameln
• coin-making

Opening hours:

Tuesdays to Sundays:  10.00 am - 4.30 pm
Closed on Mondays and certain bank holidays

Admission:

Adults: 3 EUR
Children up to 12 years and members of groups: 1.50 EUR

Guided Tours:

We offer competent guided tours for groups, school classes and all other people who are interested (available in English, German, and Dutch).
Each Saturday and Sunday at 11.30 am we offer a guided tour. Price: 1.50 EUR per person.
