The concept - the "dual" system of learning

The Berufsakademie was established in order to provide an attractive alternative to existing institutions of higher education. The unique features of the Berufsakademie is the combination of 10 weeks of theory and 12 weeks of integrated practice in each semester.

In all programs theory and practice are closely interlinked by:

• integrated syllabi for the theoretical and practical studies,
• sharing responsibilities with partner companies and institutions,
• personal contacts between the respective department of the Berufsakademie and the managers of the individual companies,
• a large number of qualified and experienced adjunct faculty members from various companies, colleges and other universities,
• the final third-year thesis, which is to be based on a practical work situation.
