Blossoming of the Spring Snowflakes

The nature protection area "Schweineberg" (170 hectares) probably has the biggest area of spring snowflakes in northern Germany: 1.5 kilometres in length and 100 to 200 meter width on a hill of appr. 200 to 280 meters height. Partly the whole ground is covered with spring snowflakes in February and March.


Several pathes lead you through the area. Please do not leave the pathes and do not pick the plants or damage them.
   

How to get there

From Hameln you will reach the Schweineberg via Süntelstraße, Schillerstraße and Holtenser Landstraße (direction Unsen). Just before Holtensen turn right to the parking area.
