Economic Development

Overview of development and consultation possibilities

As part of Hameln Town Council’s economic development, we offer advice in the following areas:

  1. Federal projects: Proposals for industry and infrastructure
  2. Guidelines for transfer of personnel: encouraging the employment of college graduates.
  3. "Bafög" Masters Diploma – student grants scheme: reasonable credit facility and subsidies for full and part-time ‘Masters in handicrafts’ students.
  4. Multimedia initiatives for handicrafts: subsidies for handicraft firms.
  5. University transfer: Subsidies for businesses working alongside universities and colleges.
  6. Exhibition promotion: Subsidies for firms who want to participate in exhibitions and fairs.
  7. Complete public financial support will be offered by firms and businesses on investment with the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau and the Deutsche Ausgleichsbank.
  8. ‘Livelihood Loans’ – trustee organisation (also special deals for women).
  9. EU Development Programme: since 01.01.2000 the Hamelin region is one of the European Commission’s Objective 2 funding regions.
  10. Economic Development Funds for special investment in ecological development.
  11. Research and Development (R&D): low-interest loans as well as subsidies for this area.
  12. RKW (Rationalisierungskuratorium Wirtschaft) – Economic Rationalisation Committee: subsidies on certification of German Industrial Standard ISO 9000 and subsidies for management consultation/undertaking daily costs.
  13. Co-ordination/co-operation with individual surveys about specific development programmes.
