Life in the Renaissance

In a time of economic bloom, between 1520 and 1620, the magnificent Castles, City Halls, and Private homes were built in the style of the Weser-Renaissance. They are impressive evidence of the wealth of those times.

Day 1: Arrival in the Hotel. See the stately Weser-Renaissance buildings of Hameln. Focus of the tour is the year 1617. A woman of the times in historical costume tells you of her life. Overnight in Hotel.
 

Day 2: After breakfast, you have time to wander through the town for some window-shopping. Afterward, transfer to Haemelschenburg Castle for a tour. Additionally, you may visit the adjacent Chapel (only Sat.), Ateliers, or a wooden toy maker’s. Coffee and Cake in the Schloss Café.
4pm: Renaissance Castle tour
5:30pm Return to Hameln
7:30pm A three-course meal for Dinner
Overnight in Hotel.

Day 3: After breakfast, visit the Glassblowers in the historical Haspelmath tower. 12 Noon: Pied Piper Open Air Play, Lunch in a comfortable restaurant.
