The Pied Piper, who in 1284 appeared in Hameln, since centuries is the town´s landmark and world famous.

From the Pied Piper hall, or the open-air-play, to the musical "Rats" - still today Hamelin cannot be thought of without the Pied Piper.

Daily at 1.05 pm, 3.35 pm and 5.35 pm.

The Piper has been running with the rats and children three times a day since the 2nd of October, 1964. The figures were carved by Walter Volland of Goslar, designed by Prof. Harry Siegel of Braunschweig.
