Welcome to the Old-Town of Hameln! It was restored with much love and a great effort between 1969-1993. One can check the highlights in about 2 hours, if necessary. Whoever brings more time along will continue to find something new. The picturesque sandstone and half-timbered houses of the 16-18th century; the feel of walking in the footsteps of the Pied Piper through the charming small side-streets; the joy of shopping in historical surroundings, simply: the atmosphere of a town that is sure to charm you.
And when you are hungry, thirsting or wanting to take a load off your feet, the doors of the many pubs, restaurants and cafes are open, in the summertime you will find the street cafes and beer gardens.
